Kester® AW Flux Cored Solder Wire is a highly active flux-cored solder designed for industrial and mechanical soldering applications in Surface Mount Technology (SMT) manufacturing environments where robust soldering of non-electrical components or metal fixtures is required. Its inorganic acid flux formulation provides rapid soldering performance on a wide range of common metals, excluding aluminum and manganese.
The solder wire is especially effective for SMT process support tasks, such as attaching brackets, shields, or hardware to assemblies, and for applications involving oxidized or difficult-to-solder metals. With excellent thermal stability, Kester® AW Flux Cored Solder Wire performs reliably under extended high-temperature conditions, including torch or flame soldering operations.
Not suitable for soldering electronic components or circuitry due to the corrosive nature of its residues. It is best suited for mechanical and industrial soldering tasks that support SMT production processes.
