Product Overview

Electrolube® Conformal Coating Remover Gel (CCRG) is a thixotropic gel specifically developed to safely and effectively remove solvent-resistant conformal coatings from Printed Circuit Boards (PCBs) and other electronic assemblies. Designed for circuit board protection maintenance, CCRG provides a controlled removal process without the use of methylene chloride.

The gel formulation ensures targeted application, helping technicians strip conformal coatings from selected PCB areas while minimizing risk to surrounding components. CCRG will not generally damage metals, though prolonged soaking may lead to corrosion on ferrous metals. Users should also note that it can attack certain plastics and may remove component identification markings if exposure is excessive. Compatibility testing on sensitive materials is recommended prior to large-scale use.

For applications requiring a liquid alternative, Electrolube also offers RRS Removal Solvent. Due to its high flammability, CCRG must be handled with appropriate safety precautions.
